Sadly, many of Dubrovnik’s city beaches don't allow animals. But don't worry, there are still many places you can go and take a dip without getting into trouble. These include the beach below the old hospital, Boninovo, Orsula, Gorica, the above-mentioned beach below the promenade in Lapad bay, and Sikirica.
If you take your pup out in public, you must remember to pick up after him or her, or you may be fined by the local authorities. Most restaurants are pet-friendly, but it is best to check with the staff at the entrance. During the summer, you can usually find seating on the terrace, so you won't have any issues.
Mandrac beach is the sole destination in Dubrovnik that allows dogs. It is a petite beach with no sun umbrellas; however, it offers instant access to the ocean, showers for canine companions, and nearby parking. It is the solitary beach purposefully designated for dogs in Dubrovnik.
