Top 8 beaches in the Šibenik area

Located halfway between Split and Zadar, Šibenik one of the most beautiful Croatian coastal cities, found its place. The third biggest Dalmatian city has a long and rich history dating back to the 9th century, seams with culture, and its amazing locations were recognized even by UNESCO.

Unlike Split and Dubrovnik, Šibenik isn’t that crowded with tourists during the season, but anyone who visits this Adriatic jewel will be astonished by its well-preserved beauty, mesmerized by the city vibe, and left speechless by the beauty of the city heritage and sights.

There are plenty of things to do and see while visiting Šibenik. The area is filled with fun and exciting activities, and there are plenty of beautiful accommodations in and around the city, but if you’re spending your vacation in the city during the season you probably also wonder what are the best beaches in this area to relax and enjoy at.

City beach Banj - Šibenik

Just a short walk from the center of Šibenik, you can find the city beach Banj. This pebble beach is about 200 meters long, and one of the most beautiful features of this beach is the unique view of the Šibenik old city center and St. Anthony Canal.

The beach has a lot of facilities, an open space workout area, a playground, a bar, and a restaurant. In 2016. the beach was pronounced the best beach in Croatia and is a proud owner of a Blue Flag. The only downside of this beach is that during the season it can be crowded with tourists as well as locals.

Jadrija - Šibenik

Probably the most “instagrammable” beach in Šibenik is Jadrija beach. This beach was pronounced as the most photogenic place in Croatia a few times in the last few years, thanks to the colorful doors of the cabins, located on the beach.

The beach is pebble, like most of the beaches in this area, surrounded by crystal clear blue sea. The beach was registered in 1921., located at the upper end of St. Anthony’s Canal, not too far from the city, and ever since it has been one of the favorite summer locations among locals.
