Developed places that we regularly see on Instagram photos, read about them on the web, or hear about them from acquaintances arouse adrenaline in us and we want to visit them, but apart from these popular locations that are full of guests, Croatia can boast of many magical beaches that you will not be able to to say NO. In addition to the striking 'Golden War', the astonishing Sakarun, and the mysterious 'Stiniva', in this blog we take you to beautiful bays and incredible beaches that will surprise you.
Robinson Beach, Hvar
You will find Robinson Beach next to the town of Hvar on the island of the same name, and it looks like a turquoise paradise. In addition to the crystal clear sea, it is characterized by a pine forest that provides enough shade during the summer heat. This beach is located in the bay of Mekićevica, and it can be reached by boat or by walking from the town of Hvar. The beach is pebbly, but beautiful rocky surfaces surround it. In addition to enjoying the sea, you will also find Pub Robinson, which maintains the traditional style of this area with stone tables and olive trees. The gastronomic offer of this restaurant is characterized by a local fish menu where you will find brodet, the old fisherman's dish Gregada, marinated sardines, octopus salad, etc. For a rest at the end of the day, book one of our villas on the island of Hvar.
Uvala Nozdra, Kaprije
Mala and Vela Nozdra coves on the island of Kapri, in the Šibenik archipelago, have been a favorite destination for many sailors for years. In Mala Nozdra Bay there is a well-equipped anchorage and about 10 buoys. The crystal clear sea and the beautiful, untouched nature of the island attract many visitors during the summer, and guests are happy to find respite from the heat in one of the two restaurants located in the bay. The restaurants offer indigenous cuisine and a wide selection of freshly caught fish and seafood.
Vrgada
Located opposite Biograd na Moru, wild and untouched Vrgada will enchant you with its beauty and charming Podbrizi beach. This unique sandy beach is surrounded by steep rocks that withstand all weather conditions. The most striking phenomenon of this island is the tree that stands on the very edge of the rock and resists weather conditions and natural changes. Another natural attraction is the islet of Artina, which is located right across from Vrgada. The island can be reached most easily by walking, but also by swimming. Spend an unforgettable day on this beautiful beach and enjoy the golden sand, for which Vrgada is often called the 'golden island', crystal clear sea, and untouched nature. On the island of Vrgada, you can find several cafes and restaurants where you can try seafood delicacies. The island is recognizable by its three churches, one of which offers a beautiful view of Kornati and Velebit.
Brbinjšćica bay
Brbinjšćica Bay on Dugi otok Island is an ideal beach for adventurers. You can rent a kayak on the shore and use it to explore the Golubinka cave. On one side, you're surrounded by boundless blue, while on the other, there are rocks. One of these rocks hides the already-mentioned Golubinka cave. You can enter the cave by swimming and exploring its interior. The peculiarity of the cave is the opening at the top through which the play of sunlight moves. Brbinjščića Bay also provides access to the Dragon's Eye, a natural pool located in the rock above the sea. The dark blue color of the sea within the ‘eye’ further emphasizes the surrounding rocks, which are particularly interesting due to their position at a sharp angle.
Šunj, Lopud
Sand Beach Šunj is located on the island of Lopud, part of the Elaphite archipelago, located west of Dubrovnik. The islands are also known as the Deer Islands, and there are a number of offers for excursions in Dubrovnik. However, the most favorable offer is by Jadrolinija, a local shipping line that departs from the port of Gruž, and the ride takes an hour. The price of the ticket in the season is €5. This beach is known for its beautiful sandy coast, and shallow and warm sea with changing colors. It is an ideal destination for families with children, but also for those who want to enjoy the beautiful natural environment. On the beach, you can find natural shade in the pine forest, which is especially welcome on hot summer days. The beach can be reached on foot, and a special feature is a small golf car that will be used by the locals to transport you. The ride takes 10 minutes and costs a few euros.
